Aber Instruments commissioned us to develop a new datalogging app to be used by their customers with Aber’s new Optura Range of Biomass Sensors. Adding to Aber’ capacitance sensors, the Optura range uses bio-reflectance measurements. There are many applications for Optura in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.

This full-featured logging software allows Aber’s customers to analyse and optimise their processes. Central to the software us the logging of data with the ability to add a range of “events”.

Optura devices can be added and removed from the software “on the fly”. Each added device is assigned a “tab” (page) in the main screen of the software.

Sleek and Functional Datalogging Software

The software also includes:

Ability to update device firmware
Ability to start, pause, resume and stop recording
Retrospective selection of up to 4 runs for overlaying on a single graph with ability to move plots for alignment and comparison purposes
Retrospective alteration of calibration parameters, along with zero and averaging values for storage in a “modified” data file
A login/logout system for an unlimited number of users and including password change reminders. This system can be enabled or disabled.
Ability to update sensor details when sensors are changed or added
Resizing of the main interface for higher-resolution monitors. Certain key items, such as graphs, are enlarged, whereas other items are kept at the same size.
